Additional Information

Applications

Premar 410 applications include bolts, screws, bushings, nuts, shafts, pumps, and valves.

Annealing

Heat slowly and uniformly to 1500-1650°F, cool to 1100°F in furnace and then air cool.

Heat Treating

Premar 410 can be heat treated by oil quenching or air cooling from 1700°F to 1850°F

Tempering

Tempering should be at the proper temperature to achieve the desired hardness. Tempering between 1100°F
and 1400°F should be avoided due to a decrease in corrosion resistance and toughness.
