Ground Flat Stock Special Production
Non-standards are available from Precision Marshall for Ground Flat Stock. Precision Marshall’s inside sales team provides prompt quotations through distributors on a wide variety of “special” requirements. Some general parameters are as follow:
GRADES
All standard catalogue grades can be supplied as specials based upon material availability.
QUANTITY
As little as a single piece can be supplied where required. Convenient stock and release programs can also be developed for large, repetitive runs. Exact piece counts can also be provided when necessary.
TOLERANCES
Closer than standard dimensional tolerances are available on all our products upon request.
LENGTHS
Virtually all GFS cross-sections can be produced through 72” and some through 144”.
FLATNESS/STRAIGHTNESS
Every bar of Precision Marshall GFS is straightened to achieve minimum deviation. Exact capabilities vary widely by grade and cross-section and will be quoted upon request.
SURFACE CONDITION
On Ground Flat Stock a “Mattison” finish is supplied unless otherwise specified. “Blanchard” finishes are also available for a cost savings. Edges can always be supplied “saw-cut” for additional savings.
LEAD TIMES
Most production specials are supplied within 3 calendar days.
